Three competitively selected PhD students will join three internationally recognized experts on the Bentley University campus to work on ESG issues. The program includes one-on-one scholarly training for selected PhD students and participation in "Teaching Business Ethics" workshops.

The Geneen Institute hosted Bentley's third Next Generation ESG Workshop for PhD students, at EuroMed Management School in Marseilles, France. It is sponsored by the Bentley Alliance for Ethics and Social Responsibility through a grant by the State Street Foundation. Faculty experts include Monika Winn, Andrew Millington and Ann Buchholtz.

The Geneen Institute hosted a conversation with Geneen Fellows Kip Holderness and Michele Jurgens who presented their research in progress, related to the Geneen Institute summer research partnership.

October 1, 2010
The Geneen Institute hosted CARY KROSINSKY, Vice President, Trucost, on October 1, 2010 who spoke on “Sustainability as a positive driver of value for corporations”. Trucost helps organizations measure and manage the environmental impacts associated with their own operations, supply chains and investment portfolios.  It has partnered with Newsweek as its quantitative partner for its “Green Rankings” released every October. The project analyzes the environmental performance of America’s 500 largest organizations.

The Geneen Institute hosted Dr. Jana Hranaiova, chief deputy economist at the Office of Research and Analysis at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). She discussed the impact of inspections on client turnover in small companies. More information is available here.

The Geneen Institute hosted Bentley's second Next Generation ESG Workshop for PhD students.Faculty experts included Jorge Rivera, Duane Windsor and Robert Hoskisson.

Bentley held its first Next Generation ESG Workshop for PhD students with a focus on environmental, social, and governance issues (ESG). The three-day program brought together promising young doctoral researchers with leading ESG experts Lori Ryan, Duane Windsor and Blair Feltmate.
